Therapy for the person behind the label.

I’m Sara, an integrative counsellor working online with eating disorders, neurodivergence, athletes, teenagers and adults. The work starts with you, not a fixed model, diagnosis or script.

How I work

You’re a person first. Everything else comes after.

Therapy can become another place where people feel expected to fit a framework. I work differently. My approach is integrative, drawing mainly from person-centred and psychodynamic therapy while adapting the work around what is actually useful for you, now.

You might be here because…

Something feels difficult, even if it does not look that way from the outside.

You do not need the perfect words, a formal diagnosis or a clear explanation before reaching out. Therapy can be the place where we start making sense of it.

01

Food is taking up too much space.

Thoughts around food, exercise, body image or control may feel intrusive, exhausting or increasingly difficult to manage.

02

You’re trying to understand your brain.

You may be exploring ADHD, autism or neurodivergence, whether diagnosed or not, and how it affects everyday life, identity, relationships or eating.

03

Performance has become personal.

Sport can bring pressure, perfectionism, identity questions, body image concerns and a sense that the person underneath the athlete has been lost.

04

You just know something isn’t right.

You do not have to fit neatly into one category. Sometimes the starting point is simply knowing you want things to feel different.

Where things overlap

They aren’t always separate conversations.

Food, sensory needs, routine, body image, identity, perfectionism and performance can all intersect. Understanding those connections can matter just as much as understanding each issue in isolation.

My Approach

No fixed script. No fixed version of you.

I’m collaborative rather than directive. I’ll follow your pace, but that does not mean simply agreeing with everything you say. I can be direct, curious and challenging when that is useful.

01

We can explore how earlier experiences and patterns may be showing up in the present without assuming your past explains everything.

02

I draw from different therapeutic ideas rather than asking you to follow one rigid model or way of working.

03

There is no fixed length of therapy. Sessions can work flexibly around life, training and competition schedules.

About Sara

I was interested in people long before I was interested in labels.

I originally thought psychology was where I was headed. I loved understanding how people work, but over time I realised that diagnostic boxes and fixed models were not how I wanted to sit with someone. Counselling gave me a more human way to work, one that could adapt to the individual rather than the other way around.
